Kay Menzies Counselling
I am a sensitive, compassionate and down-to-earth therapist, with over 20 years professional experience working across public, private and charitable sectors.
I completed a post graduate diploma in counselling at the University of Edinburgh in 2013. Person-centredness underpins my practice. As my work with clients has evolved, my approach has become more integrative.
Prior to qualifying as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I was a Staff Welfare Officer in a Scottish Government associated agency for many years.
After leaving this post, I was employed within University Counselling Services (working with both students and members of staff) for over a decade. Most recently, in a managerial role.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change".
